Fabrics we work with
What each fabric is, what it is good for, how to care for it, and where it appears in our range.

Tulle
Tulle is a lightweight, open net fabric that drapes softly and lets light and air through. It is the fabric of all our canopies. The polyester tulle used on our half-round canopies is documented; composition for other lines is confirmed per quotation.
Cotton (woven)
Woven cotton is the working fabric of our play spaces: the covers of our teepee tents and playhouses are 100% cotton, and our Kura bed curtains and half-round canopy bodies are cotton. It is breathable, prints and embroiders well, and can be washed and ironed.
Muslin (cotton gauze)
Muslin is a light, open-weave cotton gauze, often used in two to six layers. It is the standard fabric for swaddles, burp cloths and summer blankets because it is breathable and becomes softer with washing, and it is our strongest fabric: we make the full muslin range in any print or pattern. We manufacture muslin products to order.
Terry towelling
Terry is a cotton fabric with loops on one or both sides that make it highly absorbent. We use it for the absorbent backing of bibs and burp cloths, and for soft blankets. We manufacture terry products to order, including blanks for embroidery.
Waffle cotton
Waffle cotton has a raised honeycomb texture that traps air, making it light but warm, and quick to dry. It is used for baby blankets and wraps. We manufacture waffle products to order; the weight and the wash performance are agreed during sampling.
Cotton jersey
Jersey is a knitted cotton fabric that stretches, which makes it the usual choice for fitted sheets, changing-pad covers, and receiving blankets. We manufacture jersey products from sourced knitted fabric; we do not knit the fabric ourselves.
