Muslin is a light, open-weave cotton gauze, often used in two to six layers. It is the standard fabric for swaddles, burp cloths and summer blankets because it is breathable and becomes softer with washing, and it is our strongest fabric: we make the full muslin range in any print or pattern. We manufacture muslin products to order.

Single-layer muslin is airy and quick-drying; layered muslin, stitched together in a grid or around the edges, becomes a soft, warmer blanket. The number of layers is the main specification to agree.
Muslin shrinks and crinkles after washing, which is part of its look. For private label, agree on pre-washing and on the finished size after washing.
