How to measure a Montessori house bed for a canopy
The canopy length formula (A + B) × 2, worked examples for Standard, A-type and Premium canopies, and the measurements to send with an order.

Measure A, the height from the floor to the top of the side post, and B, the roof slope from that post to the ridge. The canopy length is (A + B) × 2, so the tulle reaches the floor on both sides. Example: 110 cm + 70 cm = 180 cm × 2 = 360 cm.
Choose the drape first
All our Montessori canopies fit house-shaped floor beds. They differ in how the tulle hangs: Standard and Premium Standard canopies fall along the long side of the bed, while A-type and Premium A-type canopies sweep over the front of the frame in an A shape. The Fabric Roof model adds a solid fabric roof above the curtains.
The drape changes the look, not the way you measure.
The measurements
Measure the frame, not the mattress, in centimetres.

The length formula, with examples
Canopy length = (A + B) × 2. The tulle goes up one side, over the ridge and down the other, so it reaches the floor on both sides.

What to send with your order
- A and B for every bed size you sell (C and D as well for Premium models)
- The bed width if it is not 100 cm
- A photo of the frame from the front and the side
- The model and colour for each size

Questions
Can one canopy fit two different Montessori beds?
Only if both beds give the same A and B measurements. Otherwise each bed size needs its own canopy length.
Do you need the mattress size?
No. We need the frame measurements A and B, the bed width, and a photo.
Is the Fabric Roof model measured the same way?
Send the same measurements and a photo; we confirm the cut for the fabric roof with your quotation.
