Wholesale play tents: what to check before you stock them
A buyer’s checklist for wholesale teepee play tents: cover fabric, poles, what is in the set, personalisation, packing, safety documents and starting quantities.
Written by the Olyo team. Updated .

Before stocking play tents, check the cover fabric and poles, exactly what the set includes, whether names can be added, how it packs, and which safety documents exist for your market. Our teepees have a 100% cotton cover, natural wooden poles and a floor mat, in three sets, from 5 pieces per product.
The checklist
| Check | Why it matters | Our teepee play tent |
|---|---|---|
| Cover fabric | Feel, washability and how well it takes embroidery | 100% cotton |
| Poles | Stability and look | Natural wood |
| Floor mat | Children sit and lie inside the tent | Included |
| What the set includes | Decides the price point and the gift appeal | Set 1: name banner and bunting; Set 2 adds a balloon; Full set adds a cloud pillow |
| Personalisation | A named tent makes a personal gift | Name banner; name embroidery available |
| Assembled size and packed size | Room planning, shelf space and shipping cost | Confirmed with your quotation |
| Safety documents | Play tents are generally treated as toys | Reports we hold shared on request; testing planned for your market |
Choosing colours
Order two or three colours first, then reorder the ones that sell. Colours can be mixed within your starting quantities.
Tents or playhouses?
A teepee is the lighter, giftable choice; a playhouse is a larger room feature with an aluminium frame. Our comparison guide covers which suits which shop.
Starting quantities
Our starting quantities begin at 5 pieces per product, and colours can be mixed. Exact minimums are confirmed with your quotation.
This guide is a practical overview, not legal or customs advice. Rules depend on the exact product and its customs code and they change, so confirm the current position with the official sources below, your customs broker or a compliance adviser.
