Private-label baby textiles: what to prepare
A checklist of everything a manufacturer needs to quote and sample a private-label baby or kids’ textile product.
Written by the Olyo team. Updated .

To quote a private-label product, a manufacturer needs the product and its use, a reference (sketch, sample or photo), the fabric, the finished size, colours or prints, branding (labels and packaging), the quantity per product, the destination market and your target date.
The checklist
You do not need every answer to start. Tell us what you know and what is still open.
- The product and how it will be used (age group, room, gift, rental)
- A reference: sketch, photo, existing sample or technical sheet
- Fabric preference, or the qualities you need (soft, absorbent, durable)
- Finished dimensions, and whether sizes are before or after washing
- Colours, prints or artwork (original artwork only)
- Branding: woven label, care label, hang tag, packaging
- Quantity per product and colour for the first order
- Destination market, which decides labelling and testing
- Target delivery date
What happens next
We review the brief, suggest a specification and confirm the starting quantity. After you approve the quotation, we make a sample. Production starts once the sample is approved.
