What Saudi and GCC importers ask about documentation
Conformity certificates through SABER, GCC toy rules and Arabic labelling: the documentation questions Gulf importers ask about children’s textiles.
Written by the Olyo team. Updated .

Saudi importers register regulated products on the SABER platform, which issues product and shipment conformity certificates under SASO technical regulations. Toys sold in GCC states fall under the GSO technical regulation for children’s toys. Arabic labelling is commonly required. Your importer confirms what applies.
Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) sets technical regulations for many consumer products. Importers use the SABER platform to obtain a Product Certificate of Conformity and a Shipment Certificate for regulated products. Which regulation applies depends on the product’s customs code.
Toys in the GCC
The GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) technical regulation for children’s toys applies to toys sold in GCC member states, with the GCC conformity tracking symbol (G-Mark).
Language and labelling
Arabic labelling is commonly required on consumer products in Gulf markets. Tell us your label languages when you order.
How we work with you
We provide product information and available test reports to your importer and plan any further testing with you.
